Have the customer:

  1. Check a different device at the outlet
  2. Determine if customer is using a surge protector/extender and if so and if possible bypass it
  3. If customer is using an extender or surge protector, confirm the power button is fully on and does not need to be reset.
  4. CAREFULLY confirm the power cord is firmly connected in the back of the ONU
  5. As a last resort, if possible, without stretching/bending the fiber, test the ONU in a different outlet
